Welcome to Meg's Linda Eder Page!
I first heard Linda Eder on Christmas Day, 2001. I was sitting at my friend's house, channel surfing, looking for something to watch. When I hit Bravo, they had a special about Bing Crosby Christmas Specials. I thought, "I can watch this". So, I watched it. It was good! And at every commercial break, they kept saying "Coming up, a 2-hour concert special by Linda Eder!". I kept thinking, "Who the heck is Linda Eder? I never heard of her." But, since nothing else was on, I figured I would see what all the fuss was about.
Well, with the first notes out of her mouth, I just said "wow!". She was great! I watched the whole special, entranced by the sounds, and the music. I loved her version of Son of Preacher Man. And her Do You Hear What I Hear was incredible! Then, she sang her version of Silent Night! WOW! But the topper (for me) was Vienna. After Vienna finished, I went into the kitchen to get a drink, and my friend was in there, and I said, "You know, I think she is better than Celine". My friend said, "Yeah, but I didn't want to say anything, cause I know how much you like Celine!". I was hooked from that point on.
I immediately went on-line, and bought all the solo cd's of Linda Eder that I could find. And started looking into where her concerts were. I am now officially a 43 (soon to be 44) year old groupie! I try to see Linda whenever I can, and I am NEVER disappointed by a concert.
I have now met Linda several times, and she is always so gracious and accomodating to her fans that it amazes me!
So, to the right are links to Linda's website (and she actually posts on her message board occasionally), and some other fan-run sites. If you like broadway/Sinatra/Streisand type music, you will LOVE Linda Eder.
